Billing & Subscription
Fater operates on a credit-based system for using AI features. This page explains how plans work, how credits are consumed, and how administrators can manage the organization's subscription.
Accessing Billing Information (Admins):
Billing details and purchase options are primarily managed within the "My Organisation" tab, accessible from the Left Sidebar of your Dashboard. Only users designated as Organisation Admins typically have permissions to view detailed billing sections and purchase credits/plans.
Understanding Plans & Credits
Credit System: Most AI generation actions (like generating images, videos, or 3D assets) consume a specific number of Credits. Your organization's available credit balance is displayed in the Credits Display panel on the Dashboard's Right Sidebar and within the "My Organisation" tab.
Plans Grant Credits: Instead of direct recurring subscriptions at this time, you acquire credits by purchasing Plans for your organization.
Standard Plans: These are predefined credit packages available for purchase directly through the "My Organisation" tab (usually via a secure Stripe checkout). Each Standard Plan grants a specific number of
includedCredits
.Custom Plans: Fater may arrange specific custom credit larger packages or pricing (
CustomPlan
) directly with certain organizations. These custom plans also grant a set number ofincludedCredits
and potentially additionnal negociated advantages (training sessions, support priorities etc).
Active Plans: Purchased plans become active (
OrganisationPlan
) and contribute theirincludedCredits
to your organization's total balance. Plans might have activation or expiration dates, though currently, most focus on the credit pool.
How Credits Are Used
Generation Costs: Each time a user in your organization performs an AI generation task (using models for images, assets, or videos), a specific number of credits are deducted from the organization's pool. Most generations consume 1 credit, video generations does consume several credits. (Depends on model and duration)
Tracking Usage (
GenerationLog
): Every generation is logged, including the model used and the creditcost
. Organisation Admins can often view usage statistics within the "My Organisation" tab to understand where credits are being spent.Overage: Some plans might allow "Overage," meaning generations can continue even if the credit balance is zero, potentially incurring charges later based on agreed terms. Check your plan details or the "Overage Status" in the "My Organisation" tab.
Managing Your Subscription / Adding Credits
Purchasing Standard Plans (Admins): Organisation Admins can typically purchase additional credits by selecting one of the available Standard Plans within the "My Organisation" tab and completing the payment process via Stripe.
Custom Plans (Admins): Activation of Custom Plans is usually handled directly between Fater and the organization's representative.
Viewing Active Credits: Your current total credit balance is the primary indicator of your "subscription" status. Monitor this balance in the Dashboard or "My Organisation" tab.
Recurring Billing: Please note that automatic monthly recurring billing is not currently implemented. Credit acquisition is based on purchasing specific plans/credit packs as needed. This may evolve in the future.
