# The Floating Prompt Area

Positioned at the bottom-center of the Fater Editor workspace, the **Floating Prompt Area** is your primary command center for interacting with Fater's AI generation capabilities across all Editor Modes (Image, Asset, Video).

### Components of the Floating Prompt Area

1. **Generation Task List (Top Area):**
   * Displays thumbnail previews of your recent AI generation results (images, asset previews, video previews) for the current project.
   * Organized by generation batches.
   * Allows you to click thumbnails to select and view/activate specific results.

2. **Main Input Bar (Bottom Area):** This bar contains several controls:
   * **Voice Input Button (`AudioLines` icon):** Press and hold this button to dictate your prompt using your microphone's speech recognition. Release to stop recording. **(Disabled on Firefox)**
   * **Text Prompt Input Field:** The main, wide text area where you type your descriptive prompts for the AI. This is where you tell the AI what you want it to generate or modify.
   * **Generate Button (`Sparkles` icon ✨):** Click this button to initiate the AI generation process using the currently selected model, parameters, input images/layers/masks, and the text prompt you've entered.
     * The button's appearance changes to indicate loading ("Generating...") while the generation required files and data are being uploaded.
     * It may be disabled or hidden if required inputs are missing (e.g., needing a base image in certain Image Editor workflows).

### How to Use It

1. **Select Your Mode & Model:** Ensure you are in the correct Editor Mode (Image, Asset, Video) and have selected the desired AI model and configured its parameters in the **Left Sidebar**.
2. **Prepare Inputs:** Make sure any required inputs are ready (e.g., source images uploaded in the Left Sidebar for Asset/Video modes, or layers and masks prepared on the canvas for Image Editor mode).
3. **Enter Your Prompt:** Type a clear, descriptive text prompt in the input field, or use the Voice Input button to dictate it.
4. **Click Generate:** Press the Generate button (✨) to start the AI task.
5. **Monitor Results:** Observe the Generation Task List above the input bar for thumbnails of your results as they complete.

The Floating Prompt Area provides a consistent interface for triggering AI actions across Fater's different creative modes.
