How to use the assistant

Getting the Best Out of Your AI Assistant

Your AI Assistant is a powerful tool designed to help you work more effectively. Here are some tips to ensure you're getting the most out of its capabilities!

1. Be Clear and Specific with Your Requests

The more detail you give the assistant, the better it can understand and carry out your instructions.

  • Vague: "Change the picture."

  • Better: "Make the background of the picture a dark blue."

  • Even Better (if needed): "Select the layer named 'Sky Layer' and change its color to a dark navy blue."

If you're referring to something specific, like a layer or an item, mention it by name if you can.

2. Use Images to Show What You Mean (If Available)

Our application allows you to use images as part of your prompt! This can be incredibly helpful.

  • Example: Upload a photo of a landscape and ask, "Make this photo look like a watercolor painting."

  • Another Example: Provide a product shot and say, "Remove the background from this image." or "Change the color of the t-shirt in this image to red."

3. Using Voice Commands (If Available)

If you're using voice to interact with the assistant:

  • Speak Clearly: Enunciate your words so the assistant can understand you accurately.

  • Be Concise: While detail is good, try to keep your spoken commands to the point.

  • Activation: (If applicable, mention how to start voice input, e.g., "Click the microphone icon" or "Say 'Hey Assistant'").

4. Understanding What the Assistant Does

When you give the assistant a command, it might:

  • Reply with text: It could ask for clarification or give you information.

  • Generate or change images: For visual tasks, it will modify your images directly.

  • Make changes in the application: It might select tools, adjust settings, or create new elements.

Always take a moment to review the assistant's work to make sure it's what you wanted.

5. What If It's Not Quite Right? (Iterative Refinement)

Don't worry if the assistant doesn't get it perfect on the first try! That's perfectly normal.

  • Rephrase Your Request: Try asking in a different way. For example, if "Make the logo bigger" didn't work, try "Increase the size of the 'Company Logo' layer by 50%."

  • Break It Down: For complex tasks, give the assistant one smaller step at a time.

  • Undo is Your Friend: If the assistant makes a change you don't like, remember you can usually undo it using the application's standard undo feature (often Ctrl+Z or Cmd+Z).

  • Provide Feedback (If available): (Mention if there's a thumbs up/down or feedback form for assistant actions). This helps us make the assistant smarter!

6. Examples of Good Prompts (Tailored for an Image Editor Scenario)

To give you a better idea, here are a few examples of how you might prompt the assistant if you were using an image editing application:

  • "Create a new layer named 'Highlight' and draw a bright yellow star in the top right corner."

  • "Apply a 'Gaussian Blur' filter to the layer called 'Background Image' with a strength of 8 pixels."

  • "Select the area of the image that is currently pure white and change its color to light grey."

  • "Increase the contrast of the entire image by 15%."

  • "Add a 5-pixel wide black border around the layer named 'Portrait'."

7. Experiment and Learn!

The best way to become proficient with the AI Assistant is to use it! Try different kinds of requests, see what it can do, and discover how it can best help your workflow. The more you interact with it, the more you'll understand how to get the results you want.

Happy creating!
