Understanding Your Dashboard

Welcome to your Fater Dashboard! This is your central hub after logging in, where you manage your projects, organization, account, and view key information.

The Dashboard is organized into three main columns:

  1. Left Sidebar: Navigation and main section selection.

  2. Main Content Area: Displays content based on your sidebar selection (projects, organization settings, etc.).

  3. Right Sidebar: Shows your credit balance and contextual information.

Let's break down each section:

1. Left Sidebar (Navigation)

This sidebar contains your primary navigation options:

  • 👤 User Information & Account Access:

    • Located at the very top.

    • Shows your name and email.

    • Clicking your avatar (User Button) opens a menu provided by Clerk for managing your profile, security settings, and signing out. Managing Your Account Settings

  • 🏢 My Organisation Tab:

    • Select this tab to view and manage settings related to your organization, including members, billing (if you're an admin), and usage statistics. Organization Management

  • 📁 My Projects Tab:

    • This is usually the default view when you log in.

    • Displays all your active projects in the Main Content Area. Shows a count of your projects in the tab label. Viewing Projects

  • Favourites Tab:

  • 🗑️ Trash Tab:

    • Shows projects that have been moved to the trash (marked for deletion). You can restore or permanently delete them from here. Trash Tab

    • A button (near the bottom) to quickly access this help documentation.

  • Support Link:

2. Main Content Area

This is the largest part of the dashboard, and its content changes depending on which tab you have selected in the Left Sidebar:

  • When "My Projects," "Favourites," or "Trash" is selected: Displays a grid of your relevant projects (Project Cards). You can interact with these cards to open, rename, copy, favourite, download, or trash projects. A search bar appears at the top to filter projects, along with "+ New" button.

  • When "My Organisation" is selected: Shows the organization management interface, including member lists, plan details, usage stats, and admin controls. Organization Management

3. Right Sidebar (Information Panel)

This sidebar provides contextual information:

  • 💰 Credits Display:

    • Located at the top.

    • Shows your organization's current remaining Credits.

    • Include a button to purchase more credits. Billing & Subscription

  • ℹ️ Contextual Information / Project Details:

    • The content here changes based on your current view.

    • When browsing projects ("My Projects," "Favourites," "Trash"), it provides a brief description of the current view (e.g., "View and manage all your projects here...").

    • If you select a specific Project Card in the Main Content Area, this section displays details about that selected project (like its ID and Last Modified date).
